Animals Of Arabia by Mark Adlington

I was reading this week's issue of Financial Times How To Spend It, when the above image caught my attention. It is a captivating painting of two Arabian leopards. The artist behind these captivating images is Mark Adlington. His recent collection is titled "Animals of Arabia" and will be exhibited from 24th June to 24th July 2010 at the John Martin Gallery in Mayfair, London. If you happen to be in London during this period, it would be a good opportunity to check out his solo exhibition.

Adlington is a London based artist (sculptor, painter, draughtsman) who travels extensively in search of the wildlife, a principal obsession of his since early childhood. He has developed a distinctive style that captures the movement and elegance of the animals in motion. He likes to work extensively on site to capture the movements of the animals before returning to the studio to finish up the paintings.

The paintings below are some of my favourites from his upcoming exhibition.
